Marina

The Harbour Point Marina contains 252 covered boat slips. The Homeowners Association assigns the rights to use each slip, and individual property owners cannot sell the usage rights to the boat slips. All boat slips are assigned, and the Corps of Engineers will grant no more slips. There are more Harbour Point properties than slips, so not all offer a boat slip option.

When a property is sold and has rights to a slip, the new owner can purchase the rights to one slip after closing through the homeowners association. If the property buyer chooses not to exercise the right to the slip within the allotted purchase period, that right is forfeited, and the rights to that slip are offered to those on the boat slip waiting list. If a property is sold that does not currently have a slip, the buyer has no rights to a boat slip and could choose to go on the waiting list for a possible slip in the future.

The Homeowners Association handles all boat slip transactions. The current fee for slip rights is $60,000 and is non-negotiable. This fee functions as a long-term deposit that will be refunded to the owner when the slip is transferred to the next owner. The Homeowners Association will refund the amount paid or 80% of the current price, whichever is greater, minus a processing fee.

The current Boat Slip Waiting list has greater than 20 owners.
